Just got back from a family reunion of Joy’s mom side of the family at the Rod & Reel Pier, a restaurant that used to be owned/operated by Joy’s mom’s Dad for about 25 years starting in 1962.
Joy’s first cousin Jim brought in a bunch of old family newspaper clippings and photos, and a wonderful five foot long ancestor family tree, built from data his Dad had researched.
Dinner was great and everyone enjoyed easy conversation. Plus Joy bought dinner as I’d forgotten my wallet 🙂 Looking forward to doing it again sometime soon.
