Woowoo.. looks like we made the front page of Wired News. This has been coming for a while — first ER last fall, then Forbes (PDF of article) a couple months ago, now this. Nice to see that people are starting to find out about what we slave away at down here! 🙂

Mike!! Wow, how’d you find this? Checked out your website, seems like you’re doing well too 🙂 You say you work at a software dev firm out in Sydney on your about page — any chance that’s SQRA? Kept in touch with Alec or Mike or Jon or anyone from the old CS crew?

As for the company I’m at, it is called ExcelSystems. I’m a software consultant and I’ve be mostly working on online applications(at my site, I have a few links on the right hand side to some stuff I’ve worked on). It is going well, but I think I’ll be looking for something new in a year or so.
And unfortunately no, I haven’t kept in touch with anyone of UVIC(except for Stephanie who just happens to work with me at Excel). I’m not sure how any CS guys stayed in Vic after school. Last year, I ran into Alec and I think he had a gig at some software comp in Vic, but I can’t remember which one.
