Remember Tucker Carlson? Remember how much of a boor he was to a Canadian MP while she was trying to discuss US-Canada relations? (If you don’t, click here and skip forward to 2:12). Well, CNN just fired him, and it looks like Jon Stewart’s appearance on Crossfire was the final nail in the coffin. The full story is available over at the CBC.

big mistake… Part of the charm of tucker was that he, like Ann Coulter, tends to play devil’s advocate for the Right. Without players like them, on TV, the educated masses (read the Left), would have 2 less reasons to pounce on the Right, for their stupidity… Therefore I pronounce them vital ๐
Besides he was entertaining – I watched the show simply for him… I do hope that one day, Bill Maher, Jon Stewart, Ann Coulter and Tucker all have a roundtable discussion on TV.. It would kick ass…
From a strictly entertainment point of view, I agree — it’s almost too bad. But as someone affected by how people vote in this country but unable to vote myself, I’d rather hear thoughtful debate. It’s not like we’re getting it anywhere else. The US Presidental debates, for example, were a joke. Two-minute regurgitations of party lines for 90 minutes at a time.
Welp, someone gots to voice the first-impression-with-no-thought-behind-it viewpoint, so I might as well.
Oooh. That smarts, real nice. Hoo Hoo!
Even if I only had it out for him because of that silly bowtie..
so what you’re saying is that you want to be a “foreign insurrgent” in the USofA in the hopes of guiding the political process?
hmmm… better be careful, you could end up in Guantanamo… or worse yet, sent back to Canada ๐
Hahaha, no. ๐ I’m just saying that since I have no say, I’m relying on the people who do to make informed decisions.
tucker .. what a loser ..
