I’ve been cooped-up inside all week, so when Patrícia asked if I’d like to check out a photo gallery downtown I had no hesitation. Well, except for the making-lunch-and-getting-a-haircut hesitation. But none after that. On a side note, ahhh… it feels so good to have short hair. It’s what I’d quantify as “hot as hell” outside.
Hanging out with the locals at the gallery. Photo by Patrícia.
Wait… why isn’t that one on the right the same colour?
Through the front door of the gallery. $200 to get in! Ha… no, just $2. Sadly we arrived 15 mins after close so we decided to take a walk along the waterfront.
I had no idea it was so pretty! Reminded me a little of parts of Beacon Hill Park along the water, except, you know, lower to sea level.
Guess there’s a lot of sea crime? Here he’s having a conversation with another boater off-frame. He took off in a real hurry shortly after the photo was snapped.
More outdoor art! That’s one pretty neat thing about Sarasota. Lots of outdoor art. I believe this piece is called “Photons II”, so there’s no way I couldn’t have the sun shining through..
I love rusted metal. This is a piece on the south side of the Van Wezel performing arts hall. More rusted metal.
We were pretty excited to find a bridge. Then we discovered it lead to a parking lot. But it looks pretty cool from here, though, no? 🙂 Photo by Patrícia.
