Thanks! 🙂 Regarding the tag (“watermark” as they say) I’ve been fiddling with the idea for a while. I contemplated putting it over the top right so that it would be harder to remove, but it didn’t fit. Anyway, if the tag is there, it’s clear I’m interested in protecting my copyright; if someone reuses the image, they have no way to claim ignorance about who took it.
Incidentally, all of the images in my gallery have copyright information embedded in their metadata, thanks to GraphicConverter (click on the Photo Properties link on any photo).

ok ok… i’m probably going to sound dumb here but … when you say it’s a ‘red tide’ crab does that mean that those colours are due to pollutants?

Hey shy, thanks 🙂 Great question. As a matter of fact, I did not know, so I Googled a bit and it would appear that not only is the colouration natural, but this is a female (males have blue claws; females have painted fingernails). How about that..
