Just finished a very interesting listen, a radio show produced by the CBC called “The Current”. It was split up into two parts: “Embedded Canadians” discussed Canadians working and living abroad, and featured interviews with Canadians of very kinds working and living in the States. “Canadian ‘Identity Crisis’” interviewed Canadians in California (home to the largest body of Canadians be found outside of Canada itself) and also took Canada to the shrink for a little psycho-analysis. It’s quite funny; I just about fell off bed listening to the second segment. Go listen.
I’m glad the CBC took the time to put this up. The search for identity is such a Canadian trait, just hearing about it makes me feel all patriotic. ๐

Awww yeah baby!
“I’m searching for who I am….WOOO!! I love being who I am!”
Good ‘ol patriotism, eh..
“Very Kinds” = Every Kind? Heehee ๐
heh… yup, good catch. you’ve gotta listen to that second part. there’s a quote from “the simpsons” in there that’s just priceless.
btw, nice flag ๐
where did you get it?
actually, it’s cam’s flag. wish i had one that big ๐
Allrighty then… send me your address and I’ll mail you a big-ass Canada flag. I used to share an apartment with someone who once worked for Sheila Copps. Unfortunately the apartment was in Hull, so I wasn’t allowed to put the flag across my window in true student-living form, but now I’ve got this big huge flag that I can lend you for a while, as long as you promise to do something appropriate with it.
sue, i’d love that… i’ll email you my address ๐
I *just* finished listening to the first radio broadcast off the CBC site right before heading to the blog … guess that is the time delay for the 10 feet between our cubes eh ๐ Timezones … shhhh!
PS.
Always like logging in and seeing pics of my house online ๐ We are looking at where to put the flag now that our ‘house’ is here and pictures are going up … wonder if I would get shot by putting it on a flag pole outside ?? (Though it is kinda cool having it on the living room wall)
