Hearts are worn in these dark ages
You’re not alone in these stories pages
The light has fallen amongst the living and the dying
And I’ll try to hold it in
Yeah I’ll try to hold it in
We part the veil on our killer sun
Stray from the straight line on this short run
The more we take the less we become
The fortune of one man means less for some
I watch the heavens but I find no calling
Something I can do to change what’s coming
Stay close to me while the sky’s falling
I dont wanna be left alone don’t wanna be alone
The world’s on fire it’s more than I can handle
I’ll tap into the water try and bring my share
Try to bring more, more than I can handle
Bring it to the table
Bring what I am able

Okay and Flickr
I’m okay! Just wanted to make sure everyone knew that, as I had several “drive-by” instant messages today. Hurricane Wilma pretty much came and went, inside the space of a few hours: I was woken up at 5:30 by howling wind; it lasted until noon, after which we enjoyed by blue skies and sunshine. Damage was minimal, confined to leaves and small-medium sized branches. I would have photos, but I don’t, for two reasons: (a) the drive where my pictures are typically hosted is being defragged, and (b) Flickr is annoying.
“Flickr annoying?”, you say? Yeah. Using version 2.2 of Flickr Uploadr for Mac OS X, the “New Photoset” button malfunctioned. The pictures uploaded, but were not added to the set. Instead, I was greeted with this:

Wunderbar. But, the files did upload. So, thinks I, I shall go to ye old Flickr website, and use its Organize Flash widgetry to place my photos into a new set. But no! After several attempts, it was not possible to create a third set with newly uploaded photos. I’d fill the album (much easier after I’d found the Batch Operations link — why is this stuff so hard to find?), and then Flickr would report to me that it couldn’t save the set, because it contained no photos. What! But I just filled it! Turns out the photos were getting deleted from the set immediately after the save button was pressed (but before the actual saving went on). I deleted the set and started over again from scratch, to no avail. Okay, take a breath…
Anyway the point being — I am okay, hope to thrill you with photos of branches and leaves tomorrow 🙂
