I returned to visit the new parents Tuesday night with a bunch of coworkers — that was fun 🙂 Almost made me want a kid of my own. I say almost, because, I’m pretty sure I’m not ready. If I were to have a kid right now, they might start saving for their retirement around age 40.
In any case, I think Cam and Melissa are going to be great parents (they both hate Barney — is there more?); looking forward to seeing Joe grow up into his own, wonderful person.

This just in! Cam just phoned to let all of us here at work know that — after just 4 hours of labour — Joseph Lorne was born at 2:00pm, weighing in at a mighty 7lbs 14oz and measuring 20 1/4″! Mum, baby and Dad (and Kurtis, too) are all healthy, happy, and doing fine. 🙂
Update: Just got back from the hospital, and all I can say is WOW! I am just stunned by how small a person can be. Don’t let that fool you, though: Joseph Lorne Bahan has an iron grip. All the better to hold a hockey stick! 😀
