This river was filled with fish!
Went exploring in my car yesterday, and late in my travels discovered Myakka River State Park, about 20 miles east of here. It was getting late in the day, so I picked today to explore it instead. Took Cam, Melissa and the Powershot with me. It was radcore! 😀 Plenty of good pics coming this way soon, stay tuned.

It’s Friday, obviously
So the morning started normally enough; at 8:00am I went outside to wait for Cam to pick me up. And waited. And waited. Finally at 8:25 I figured he must be having car trouble or something, so I drove over to his place — and his car was nowhere to be found!
Turns out the bastard drove to work without me! Spotted his goofy grin as I came in the doorway to work. He was coming to pick me up. I really don’t know how he managed to forget — we had two phone conversations about it this morning, one at 7:30 where I convinced him he should drive and another at 7:55 when I told him I needed 5 minutes to finish eating. He said: “Okay, I’ll leave in 5 minutes.” Guh!!! -

Had a great night out tonight at Ulti. Lost 5-15 to the “Hungry Hungry Humans” (in green shirts). They were the top ranked team in the league (undefeated, actually), so it’s nothing to be ashamed of. Plus, again — as seems to be tradition for us — we played much better after halftime. Think it could have something to do with the fact that we had 17 people show up tonight, so it took a while to gel. No matter, though: after the game, we played a scrimmage game against them and won. This of course led to our team raising questions about the legitimacy of the first game. “That game was just to determine who got first disc, right?” Haha. After scrimmage, 11 of us took over a pizza joint by the Walgreens/Walmart near University and Lockwood Ridge. It was great. Got some funny looks when we walked in there — I think the locals were probably trying to read our team shirts –but we sat at the back and all was good. Three 18″ pizzas and multiple pitchers later, we were set!
So yah. A fun time. Think I cancelled out all the exercise I did though with the pizza. As long as I’m breaking even, I’m happy. 🙂
